Valuemation Analytics: New version 5.1 now available

The new version 5.1 of our Valuemation Analytics software offers you the following new features:

Enhancements in the Job Scheduler

With the new release 5.1 you will benefit from these additional functions in the Job Scheduler:

  • The execution of jobs can now be planned and set even more precisely and in more detail. You can now select the most common time intervals (such as minute, hour, day, week, month, year) and also define intervals for appointment series, for example
o    every working day at 10:00
o    every week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:00 am
o    every 1st Friday of the month at 6:00 a.m.
  • In addition to the above standard settings, you can also define your own rules. For example, you can also use scripts to exclude date values.

  • With the new filter in the Job Scheduler, tasks can now be filtered by task name, user, task type, etc. This is particularly interesting for companies that plan many tasks via the Job Scheduler.
  • Also, the handling of prompts when scheduling a Report Designer report with the Job Scheduler has been improved. If you have set parameters in the report definition, the system automatically detects and displays them when you click the gearwheel icon in the “action” section after you added the report. You can also select values in the user interface if you have defined value lists in your Report Designer report.

Recommendation for using the Job Scheduler in Valuemation Analytics

We strongly recommend that you use the Job Scheduler in Valuemation Analytics in the future, as we plan to discontinue support for the scheduler application delivered with the Pentaho framework in the following releases. We have summarized the advantages of the VM Analytics Job Scheduler in the release notes (see below). We are constantly developing the VM Analytics Job Scheduler further, taking into account the requirements of our customers.

Detailed release notes

The detailed release information for users and administrators as well as the documentation can be found as usual in the download area of the support website. To access it, you will need your personal login data, which you can request via the user registration page if required.
