Hamburg Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft A/S & Co KG (Hamburg Süd) is an international logistics service provider and has more than 6,000 employees. In view of changes in markets and digitalization in the shipping industry, Hamburg Süd’s IT department is to be transformed into a service-oriented organization. That requires ensuring that the IT services are transparent and suit needs.
The project report describes how Hamburg Süd established new roles in service management, is driving standardization and automation of service processes with a central ITSM solution, and so is successfully accomplishing its vision of customer- and service-centric delivery of IT and enterprise services.
